Welcome to the Janada L. Batchelor Foundation for Children, Inc.

JBFC believes a multi-faceted, business model of care is the most effective way to help alleviate rural extreme poverty. The various challenges that contribute to extreme poverty do not exist in a vacuum. And in order to create real change, we need a system of interconnected support that addresses all of the community's needs. We have implemented the concept of a self-sustaining, holistic care campus, primarily to serve and empower orphaned and abandoned girls. The model incorporates a heavy emphasis on the development of infrastructure to give people the tools they need to raise themselves out of poverty.

Within this holistic care campus model, we have outlined 4 main areas in which we focus: refuge, education, healthcare, and developing a rural economy. We encourage you to click on the links below to learn more about our specific initiatives and what JBFC is doing to improve the lives of people in Kitongo and its surrounding areas.
